BON VOYAGE

Well, my blog will be on pause for the next week or two because I am going to be sitting on the beach in Hawaii doing absolutely NOTHING!!!!! I can't tell you how excited I am. AND, of course, freaking out that I actually get to be with my husband for the next 11 days by OURSELVES!! We have never been together this long without kids, except before we had kids. This is going to be a whole new experience for us. You know, I have really learned the value of hard work and it has paid off. I worked my little tooshie off last year so I could earn this trip for us. And, now I get to enjoy the rewards of my labor. And, of course, thanks to JP's parents we can spend some time with them on Oahu while they are serving their mission. I can't forget all of you who have supported me in my business. Without you I wouldn't be where I am today, so thank you. AND, ALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHA!!!!!!!!!!!!

AFTER A HARD DAY'S WORK

Well, I finally got off my butt and reclaimed my master bedroom and bathroom. It literally took me ALL day. The kids were starting to wonder about me because I was working in my room for so long. I wouldn't even come out for dinner. But, I not only folded all the laundry, I actually put it away in the kids drawers and closets. It's amazing what things you find in the process. I can actually see my carpet and how spacious my bedroom is. AND, I have a bed. I even worked a little on my own closet. Now the kids can get dressed in their own rooms and not have to come to my room to find their clothes in the various laundry baskets that covered my floor. And I moved all the hair bands and brushes to their bathroom, not mine. I can't believe I let it go on like this for that long. I won't even admit how long it's been. If you know me well, you know I am always organized and have things put away. But, for some reason, I really let the laundry take control of my life. Hopefully now I can keep on top of it and keep my bedroom MINE (and JP's).

Jacob at basketball

This is Jake's first year of Junior Jazz. It's so fun to watch him steal the ball, wait under the basket with his hands up and run up and down the court. He's always asking if it's Wednesday because that's when his games are. We've had a lot of fun going to his games as a family.

IS THIS YOUR LIFE???

I am ALWAYS overwhelmed with laundry. I hate it, I can't control it, I can't get ahead of it. It has taken over my room AND my bed. This picture was taken a while ago, but my room still looks like this. I have buckets of it sitting around my bed. Please tell me that I am not the only one facing this dilemma. I don't think it is a time issue, I think I am just too tired to face it all. I'd have to do 2 loads a day to keep up. I just can't bring myself to stay consistent. So, this is my consequence I have to live with. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Actually I'll take volunteers to come over and save me. I've got to get it put away before I leave for Hawaii in 2 weeks.....ahhhhh!!!! I will not be doing laundry in Hawaii!!!

Are you a Morning person or a Night Person????

***You Are a Night Person***

For you, there's nothing worse than having to get up and moving early.
In fact, you probably don't hit your peak until well after the sun has set.
So if your struggling to make it on a normal schedule, realize it's not your fault.
You just weren't meant to do anything during the day!

Missed 2007?

So, not much has been going on this week. The kids are off track right now, 2 weeks down, 2 more to go. We haven't been able to do much because it won't stop snowing. Have I mentioned we leave for Hawaii in 3 weeks? AHHH!!!!! So, in the interest of posting something to my new blog that is supposed to be so exciting and new everyday, I thought I would give you a little review of our 2007 highlights. How does that sound? No complaining!! It could be worse and I could not post at all. Every year, no matter the circumstances, we try to take a family trip down to Newport Beach. Of course, the trip always includes a stop at every IN-N-OUT burger we pass, time at the beach and of course several days at Disneyland. We actually have been on the longest hiatus ever from going to Disneyland. We are going on 2.5 years now. But not to worry, we are headed back in April when Mackenzie will get the opportunity to perform with her choir group. FINALLY!! We are so excited. These pictures were from November 2007 when we went down for the weekend for little Abigail's blessing. So worth the trip!!! I would do anything to go to the beach. Thanks Abigail for living near one!!

I'm finally here!!

I can't believe it!!! I have finally given in to the addicting world of blogging. I have always enjoyed reading other's blogs and seeing pictures from friends and family all over. But, after starting a blog for my business, I realized I needed to start one for my family too. Duh!! I have actually found friends and been able to keep up with their lives through blogging. What a great way to keep in touch AND journal all at the same time. I think the last time I wrote in a journal was after the twins were born. So, this will be good for me. I hope you enjoy it. And, please bear with me as I try to figure out how this whole thing works.
